IT was a bad night for three of the local clubs in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League yesterday as they earned just one point between them.
Albion Sports enjoyed the best result but they were held to a goalless draw in their final home game of the season by Staveley Miners' Welfare in a mid-table battle.
Premier Division neighbours Thackley slipped to a 1-0 defeat at third-placed Cleethorpes Town.
Marc Cooper scored the game’s only goal 15 minutes from time.
It was a second single-goal defeat against one of the top teams for the Dennyboys after they lost 3-2 at home to leaders Tadcaster Albion at the weekend.
Eccleshill United also lost against a top side in Division One as champions Hemsworth MW eased to a 3-1 win at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium, Mark Trueman netting a late penalty for the Eagles.
