There was no joy for Brighouse Town as they went down 3-0 at Bamber Bridge in an Evo-Stik Division One North clash, last night.

Early goals at the start of each half, from Stuart Vasey and Matt Lawlor, put the Preston-based side in control and Chris Marlow wrapped up the scoring nine minutes from time.

There was a first win for new Silsden boss James Gill in a 2-0 home win over AFC Liverpool in the North West Counties Premier Division. Gill’s assistant Danny Forest scored within seconds of making his debut for the Cobbydalers as a half time substitute and Jamie Longley was also on target.
