DENNYFIELD will be the venue for Monday’s FA Cup first-round draw but before that Thackley will host Athersley Recreation in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

The Dennyboys banked a much-needed maximum in midweek with a resounding 4-1 scoreline at Nostell MW and will be looking for more points from their meeting with Athersley, who have slumped.

Thackley’s visitors have suffered five defeats in their last six league games and are three places below their hosts.

LIVERSEDGE are now a place above Athersley, even though Jonathon Rimmington’s men have also had a very poor run of results.

Sedge ended a run of ten consecutive defeats in all competitions when they beat Pontefract Collieries 5-2 in the West Riding County Cup on Wednesday.

That result will give them heart as they travel to eighth-placed Rainworth MW, who have won four of their last five league games.

Ponte will be looking for a reaction from their midweek mauling when they host ALBION SPORTS.

Kulwinder Sandhu’s Albion are the highest placed of the area’s three top-tier sides in seventh.

They need to keep amassing the points, however, as three clubs are snapping at their heels, and they will be favourites tomorrow despite being away from home when they travel to 15th-placed Ponte.

ECCLESHILL UNITED are also on the road – against Shirebrook Town in Division One.

The Eagles will be buoyed by their midweek home draw and are the only club in the bottom half of the lower tier to have a plus goal difference.

Shirebrook climbed to eighth after four straight wins but they lost last time out.
