THACKLEY are the only one of the three local clubs in the Toolstation Northern Counties East Premier Division to have a home game on Saturday but they face a stern test.

In-form Handsworth Parramore make the journey to Dennyfield.

The visitors are third in the table and on a run of three straight victories, although they are adrift of Worksop Town and Tadcaster Albion.

The Dennyboys won their first game of the season but four consecutive defeats have left them second from bottom of the table.

Albion Sports moved up to fifth following their 4-1 win at Nostell MW in midweek as skipper James Firth and Danny Cunningham returned from injury.

Sports are at Garforth Town, looking to stay ahead of their hosts in the table and avenge a cup defeat.

Kulwinder Sandhu’s men suffered a heavy loss at Garforth in the FA Cup a fortnight ago.

That 4-1 setback will be a spur for Albion, as will their midweek win in Firth, Alex Cusack, Omar Habib and Marcus Edwards were all on the score-sheet.

Liversedge have tumbled to 11th after back-to-back defeats but both of those losses came against sides expected to do well, one of them being leaders Tadcaster.

Sedge have a chance to put those defeats behind them as they head to Armthorpe Welfare, who are third from bottom.

Armthorpe ended a five game losing run with a draw last time out.

Eccleshill United face a tough away day in Division One as they head to unbeaten joint leaders Hull United.

The East Yorkshire outfit are newcomers to the NCE League but have dropped just two points in their opening eight games and have maintained a perfect home record.

The Eagles, on the other hand, are looking to bounce back from Wednesday’s 3-1 home defeat to Bottesford Town.
