LUKE O’Brien had an eventful Thackley debut as they beat Yorkshire Amateur 4-1 at Dennyfield in their final pre-season friendly.
The Ammers took a 13th-minute lead when Joel Sutton netted from the spot after the former Bantams defender had tripped a forward in the penalty area.
O’Brien hauled his new side back into the contest when he equalised midway through the first half.
The Dennyboys went into the interval a goal to the good after Mike Garrod’s 35th-minute strike. Luke Hudson made it 3-1 before Garrod’s second wrapped up the scoring.
