Brighouse Town and Thackley will both be looking to pick up maximum points on Saturday as the local promotion-chasing pair face games against the bottom two in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division.

Town could go above near-neighbours Thackley with a home win over basement outfit Lincoln Moorlands Railway.

However, for them to do that, the Dennyboys would have to slip to defeat at second-from-bottom Nostell MW.

Fifth-placed Town have games in hand on all of the clubs above them but they suffered a shock defeat last time out by 3-0 at struggling Parkgate.

Thackley know any positive result for them at Nostell would keep them above their local rivals but would not be enough to see them break into the top three as there is a four-point gap.

Albion Sports have suffered back-to-back home defeats but they will be looking to ensure they avoid an unwanted hat-trick on Saturday when they host Athersley Recreation.

It will be a battle of the promoted sides as Albion came up as Division One champions last term, pipping Athersley to the title.

Albion still have the bragging rights as they are seventh, two places better off than their visitors.

Liversedge have not had chance to build on their last result but their confidence will still be high as they head to Glasshoughton Welfare.

Sedge won 5-1 at Winterton Rangers ten days ago but faced a blank Saturday last weekend because of the uneven number of clubs in the top tier.

The feel-good factor will not have dissipated, and Sedge, who are 18th, are just three places and four points behind their hosts but have a game in hand.

Eccleshill United will be firm favourites to extend their unbeaten run when they host rock-bottom Louth Town in Division One.

The Eagles, who like most clubs have suffered recent postponements, are on a six-game unbeaten run stretching back to before Christmas.

Lee Duxbury’s men are riding high in fifth spot while Louth and second-from-bottom Appleby Frodingham appear to be cut adrift at the foot of the table.
