Schofield wants to finish on a high
The Vodkat League season ends this weekend and Silsden have home advantage for their final Division One fixture - but they cannot now end the campaign in the top six as once hoped.
Cobbydalers boss Paul Schofield is looking for a win over Bacup Borough but he admits his side's form has troubled him.
"It has been a tough end to the season that looked well on track eight or nine games ago," said Schofield.
"We have been playing with a very young side and trying different things but we have slipped in the last furlong, although there are some plus points and good things to look forward to next season."
Schofield will have to wait for players to report in after Wednesday's 3-0 home defeat to Glossop North End before finalising his squad. He is keen to see more of Arley Barnes and James Dunn, two 17-year-olds who made their first-team debuts last Saturday.
