    Silsden frustrated by missed chances

    Atherton Collieries 1, Silsden 1

Silsden travelled to Atherton Collieries and earned a point after consecutive 3-2 defeats in Vodkat League Division One.

It was a draw for the Cobbydalers this time but another case of missed chances and frustration for them.

Lee Reilly put the visitors in front just before the half-hour mark after controlling a pass from Andy King and sliding a shot under the home keeper.

But Atherton hit back six minutes before the break when James Parkinson lifted a lob into the net following a corner.
