SILSDEN have made a triple signing ahead of their North West Counties League opener at home to Sandbach United on Saturday.

Boss Danny Forrest has snapped up Luke Baldwin, Luke Rhodes and Mateusz Tomas, who will bolster the Cobbydalers in midfield and attack.

Baldwin can operate effectively in either of the wide positions as well as a more advanced central role. He was on the books of Bradford City until being released at 16 and has spent the last two seasons with Guiseley AFC Academy.

Twenty-four-year old Rhodes adds depth in centre midfield and joins after playing locally for Salts FC in recent years after a spell at Thackley.

Tomas joins after impressing in pre-season, which saw him score an fine individual goal in Silsden's win over Albion Sports. He had a spell at Craven League side Silsden Whitestar last season and is predominantly a wide player who has the ability to excite with his attack-minded play.
