FARSLEY Celtic are aiming to consolidate fifth place in Evo-Stik League Division One North tomorrow when they face another tough away game at one of their promotion rivals.

The Celts’ last four league games have seen them take on local rivals Brighouse Town, leaders Lancaster City, Scarborough Athletic and Glossop North End.

Brighouse were just five points adrift of the Celts when they met on the last Saturday of January.

And although there is an 11-point gap between the clubs now, Paul Quinn’s men have not given up on a play-off finish.

Sixth-placed Albion Sports could close the seven-point gap on the Dennyboys, temporarily at least, with a win at mid-table Maltby Main.

Liversedge could leapfrog Sandhu’s men with a win, or even a draw if the Lions slip up again. Sedge make the short trip into Leeds to take on a Garforth Town side who are just inside the top half of the table.

Eccleshill United are at home in Division One, and they will be looking to build on their recent form after back-to-back victories. The Eagles host Rossington Main, who are 17th.

However, they are now seven points outside the play-off places after a defeat to Hallam and a home draw against relegation threatened Westella & Willerby.

Silsden will be looking to avoid a league double when they travel to face City of Liverpool AFC after the Hallmark Security League newcomers won 2-0 on their first visit to Keighley Road.
