GUISELEY head to the midlands tomorrow night to face Rushall Olympic in an FA Trophy third qualifying round replay with a home tie against Chorley or Stalybridge Celtic as their incentive to progress.

The Lions' two league rivals drew 2-2 on Saturday and also replay tomorrow evening, while Bradford Park Avenue are already through to the first round proper, where they will be at home to Kidderminster Harriers.

Guiseley, second in the Vanarama Conference North are more than a division higher than their Walsall-based hosts but they couldn’t make that count at Nethermoor on Saturday as the slides battled out a goalless draw.

Boss Mark Bower said: “We’ve got to do it the hard way now and win down at their place.

“We had them watched last Tuesday so we knew what to expect on Saturday and they are a side with the pace to hurt teams on the break and cause defences problems.

"Now we’ve been up close we have seen a few little things that we might be able to work on and things we might be able to exploit.”

Meanwhile, today's draw pitted Avenue against Conference Premier outfit Kidderminster following three epic battles between the sides last season in both the Trophy and the FA Cup.

The sides drew 1-1 at Horsfall Stadium in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round before Harriers won the replay 2-1. Avenue then exacted revenge by knocking Harriers out of the Trophy 2-1 at home in the same round as they meet this term.

FC Halifax Town, who like Kidderminster only come into the competition at this stage, are away to Worcester City, who play in Avenue and Guiseley's division.

There is action elsewhere tomorrow night with clubs involved in two other knockout competitions.

Thackley make the short journey to face last season’s finalists Harrogate Town in the last eight of the West Riding County Cup. Silsden travel to north Leeds to take on Garforth Town in one of the other quarter-final ties.

The Evo-Stik League Cup, known as the Doodson Sports Cup, sees Brighouse Town hosting Spennymoor Town in an all Division One North second-round encounter.

Farsley also have home advantage but a tougher tie as visitors Curzon Ashton are currently second in the Premier Division.
