ALBION Sports have integrated three new signings during the pre-season but a late addition has not had time to hone his fitness and settle in ahead of tomorrow’s first league game.

Three Thackley players, Matt Mather, Matt Morgan and James Firth, all made the switch to Albion during the summer.

They and Brice Tiani, who has played for Thackley and Farsley, will all be in contention when Albion host Heanor Town in the Toolstation Northern Counties East Premier Division.

Liversedge had a low-key pre-season under new manager Alan Colquhoun, but his squad is fit and primed for the their first game.

Sedge start with a tough home clash against Cleethorpes Town, who were promoted as Division One champions last term.

Thackley manager Andy Patterson is also new to the hot seat. The former Bantams reserve striker was handed the reins on a permanent basis after a spell as caretaker at the end of last season.

He has signed former City defender Luke O’Brien, an addition to the squad that underlines the Dennyboys’ ambitions.

They begin the new campaign at Barton Town Old Boys.

Eccleshill’s season gets underway when they host Louth Town. The Eagles hope to continue where Lee Duxbury left off and launch another bid for promotion under the guidance of their management team of David Cope, Mark Tinker and Martin Devanney.

Silsden are already off and running. Their North West Counties League began last Saturday and the Cobbydalers have won their first two games, scoring four times in each victory. They travel to Congleton Town tomorrow, who have taken just one point from their two starts.
