Silsden face a tough test on Saturday as they head to Norton United, who are one of just two genuine Premier Division title contenders in the North West Counties League.
In contrast the Cobbydalers are still nervously glancing over their shoulders at the relegation places and have lost three of their last four matches.
Norton are second in the table and are just two points behind leaders Runcorn Linnets, although they have two games in hand.
Silsden lost just 1-0 at the leaders recently but have suffered 3-0 and 4-0 defeats since.
The only uplift they have had was a 3-2 win at mid-table Winsford United, which boosted the Cobbydalers’ hopes of maintaining their top-tier status.
They are nine points above the drop zone but do have games in hand on four of the five clubs below them.
