Liversedge
Boshell runs rivals ragged
Liversedge 3 Long Eaton Utd 0
Nicky Boshell was the hero for Liversedge as he scored two and set up the other in a comfortable Premier Division victory.
Sedge, who have their sights on the runners-up spot, took the lead on 15 minutes when Andy Shuttleworth's cross from the left flank picked out Boshell. He controlled the ball on his chest, side-stepped a defender and slotted past the visitors' keeper.
Shuttleworth, who had seen an inswinging corner cleared off the line, delivered a free-kick late in the first half that was headed out but only to Boshell, who looped the ball back in for Brook Newton to head home.
In the second half, Sedge keeper Lee Ashforth conceded a penalty but then saved it before the game was wrapped up by another spot-kick five minutes from time. Boshell was fouled in the box and he got up to dispatch the resulting penalty.
