Lincoln Moorlands 1, Liversedge 2

Liversedge gave their confidence a boost ahead of this week's President's Cup final first leg when they got back to winning ways in the league.

They held on to their third place in the top tier with a 2-1 win at struggling Lincoln Moorlands Railway.

Sedge struck a double blow late in the first half. Five minutes before the break, Simon Wood intercepted the ball and played it through to Chris Wood, who netted a neat lob.

Minutes later, with the Sedge forwards foraging away, Brook Newton stole in and took the ball into the area before dispatching a low shot.

Five minutes from time, the home side pegged one back from a late corner but there was a strong hint of handball in the crowded area.
