Liversedge and Eccleshill hit back for away draws
7:50pm Sunday 14th October 2012 in Liversedge By Ian Whiting
In the Baris Northern Counties East Premier Division, Liversedge earned a good point on the road when they drew 1-1 at Barton Town Old Boys.
The home side opened the scoring early, Ash Lattimore on target in the second minute, but Sedge hit back through man-of-the-moment Matthew Bugg just before half-time.
It was Bugg’s fifth league goal in the last four games.
Eccleshill United had a remarkably similar day in Division One as they also returned from an away trip with a point from a 1-1 draw after coming back from a goal down.
The Eagles were at Selby Town and the home side went in front through Jamal Shahin in the seventh minute but Brandon Roane levelled midway through the first half.
Albion Sports were denied any action as their trip to Askern Villa was postponed.
The Doncaster-based side could not raise a team just over a week after having to allow Silsden a walkover in the first round of the West Riding County Cup for the same reason.
