Brighouse Town face a third game in succession against one of the leading clubs in the Baris Northern Counties East League Premier Division when they host third-placed Tadcaster Albion on Saturday.
Town are currently the leading local club in the top tier in eighth spot but, after four straight victories, have slumped to back-to-back home defeats.
They lost 3-0 to Winterton Rangers, who were fourth, last Saturday and were then beaten 3-2 by Bridlington Town in midweek. That win took the east coast outfit into second place at the expense of Tadcaster.
Liversedge are also at home this weekend when they welcome ninth-placed Barton Town Old Boys.
Town may be just three spots higher but have amassed 11 points more and have played two fewer games.
Vince Brockie’s Thackley have enjoyed the best possible preparation for their tough trip to fifth-placed Winterton Rangers.
The Dennyboys romped to a 4-0 win over Sedge last weekend and then dumped leaders Retford United out of the League Cup in a 5-1 hammering on Tuesday.
In Division One, Eccleshill United will be aiming to improve their seventh-place standing when they host lower mid-table outfit Shirebrook Town.
The Eagles claimed their first success of this campaign in a 1-0 win at Shirebrook and that was before Ian Banks improved his squad with a handful of good signings.
Eccleshill’s neighbouring rivals Albion Sports had been leading the division for a long spell but have been hit by back-to-back postponements.
They have not played since beating the Eagles on Boxing Day, and have no fixture tomorrow, but are still second as their title rivals have failed to take advantage of Albion’s inactivity.
