ALBION SPORTS exacted sweet revenge on Garforth Town in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League.

Just a fortnight after being knocked out of the FA Cup at the same venue by Saturday's hosts, Kulwinder Sandhu's men took all three Premier Division points from their trip to the Cedar Ridge Stadium.

The cup tie ended in a 4-1 win for Garforth but Albion won what was a feisty league game 2-0 at the weekend.

Brice Tiani broke the deadlock after just four minutes and substitute Marcus Edwards sealed the visitors' win in stoppage time.

Former Manchester United and Bradford City player Ben Muirhead put the skids under LIVERSEDGE at Armthorpe Welfare when he netted for the home side after just four minutes.

Sedge never recovered as they slumped to a 5-1 defeat, although two very late goals slanted the scoreline in favour of the hosts.

Kieran Benson and Joe Lumsden added for the home side before James French netted for Sedge but goals from Stuart Preston and James Handley completed the rout.

In the same section, THACKLEY were handed six of the best by high-flying Handsworth Parramore.

Jon Froggatt (2), Kieran Wells, Ben Starosta, Chris Marrison and Alex Rippon were on target in a 6-0 romp for the visitors.

ECCLESHILL UNITED returned with a respectable point from leaders Hull United in Division One.

Hull may be newcomers but are unbeaten and had only dropped two points before the Eagles came back from a goal down to hold them to their second draw of the season.

The home side's Brett Agnew broke the deadlock in the 75th minute but Eagles skipper Andy Cooper levelled in stoppage time.
