THREE wins in their last four league games have put Thackley on the tails of Saturday’s Toolstation Northern Counties East Premier Division visitors.

The Dennyboys will move level on points with 13th-placed Athersley with a win, but the South Yorkshire outfit have two games in hand and a superior goal difference.

Thackley will be hoping to catch their rivals at a low ebb after they suffered a 2-0 home defeat to third-placed Worksop Town in midweek.

Liversedge are at home to lowly Armthorpe Welfare and will be looking to complete a double over the Doncaster-based side.

Sedge won 1-0 at Armthorpe in September and will be keen to take the three points in a match that was frozen off on December 12.

Eccleshill’s three-game unbeaten run came to an end in midweek when they suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Penistone Church in Division One.

They will be looking to bounce back when they visit Hallam.

After a defeat at the leaders Runcorn Linnets and then a home draw against the basement outfit Bacup & Rossendale Borough, Silsden travel to 1874 Northwich who are are fourth in the North West Counties League Premier Division.

An injury-time penalty from Craig Nicholls salvaged a point against Bacup & Rossendale on Tuesday.

Spokesman Jim Rosser said: “It was quite an even game but a poor game quality wise, and if they play like that at Northwich it could be a heavy defeat. But Andy Geary has a way of lifting the players.

“Two have left us recently, with Tom Henderson going to Barnoldswick Town and Zack Dale moving up to Clitheroe.

“Tom got a hat-trick for Barlick last Saturday, so he looks to have settled quickly.”
