THE FA Vase second qualifying round on Saturday could not have thrown up a more difficult tie for struggling Liversedge.

They head to the north east to take on renowned cup fighters Bedlington Terriers, who could not be in better form as they sit four points clear at the summit of the Northern League’s top tier.

In contrast, Sedge are a lowly 17th in the Toolstation Northern Counties East League equivalent and were dumped out of the FA Cup at Terriers’ rivals Seaham Red Star at the first hurdle.

Silsden have an interesting clash as the North West Counties League Premier Division outfit host Sedge’s counterparts Garforth Town.

The Cobbydalers have had a good first quarter of the season and are riding high in their league, while Garforth are mid-table in theirs.

Albion Sports head to the outskirts of Bolton to face Daisy Hill, who are a division below Silsden in the North West Counties.

Albion’s form has been patchy but they rediscovered the winning formula in midweek with a 5-1 knockout success over Yorkshire Amateur in the West Riding County Cup.
