Liversedge 0, Heanor Town 3

WITH many of their Toolstation Northern Counties East League rivals in FA Vase action over the weekend, Liversedge missed out on a chance to log a much-needed victory to boost their position.

Sedge are a lowly 18th in the Premier Division table but instead it was visitors Heanor Town who profited by claiming the leadership.

The Derbyshire outfit moved to the summit as they extended their 100 per cent start to the league campaign.

They got off to a very good start at Clayborn as Sam Jones gave them a fourth-minute lead.

Nathan Banger made it 2-0 on the half-hour mark and then, just when it is seemed Sedge had limited the damage, Paulo Piliero netted a late third goal.
