The proposed Toolstation Northern Counties East League constitution sees the Premier Division back to an even number.

The top tier is down from 23 to 22 clubs, so there will be no more frustrating free Saturdays for the odd club.

Albion Sports, Thackley and Liversedge will all feature again but there will be no Brighouse Town following their promotion as champions.

The construction is provisional until the league’s annual meeting next month.

But the local trio in the Premier Division are set to be joined by Division One title winners Cleethorpes Town and runners-up Shaw Lane Aquaforce.

Wakefield drop down from Evo-Stik League Division One, while Worksop Parramore are now Handsworth Parramore following their amalgamation.

Long Eaton United have moved sideways to join the Midland Football Alliance.

Eccleshill United will be joined in Division One by Lincoln Moorlands Railway and Winterton Rangers, who were both relegated.

The Eagles will be treading new ground with trips to AFC Mansfield, who join from the Central Midlands League, and Penistone Church, from the Sheffield and Hallamshire County Senior League, with both clubs having been accepted onto step seven of the non-League pyramid.

Appleby Frodingham were relegated to the Central Midlands and Dinnington Town resigned from the NCE League set-up.
