A first-half red card at Clayborn left Liversedge with an uphill task.
Sedge had taken the lead midway through the period through Billy Grogan but just after the half-hour they had Ryan Haigh sent off and Tony Hackworth struck Pickering Town’s leveller from the resulting penalty.
Robbie Hawkes scored soon after following an error from the home keeper and Sam Calvert made it 3-1 in the 41st minute.
Pickering ran out comfortable winners after a goalless second half but Sedge battled well with ten men for almost an hour.
