6:00pm Monday 27th August 2012 in County Am By Philip Rhodes
Steeton's Lee Reilly, left, has already scored four goals this season
Steeton made it two successive victories for their first two games to be among the early pacesetters in the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division.
Lee Reilly took his tally of goals to four after netting both his side's efforts in their 2-1 victory at Storthes Hall.
Salts, after earning a point with a 1-1 draw at Tyersal in their opening game, had to settle for a point with another 1-1 draw.
Visitors Overthorpe, after taking the lead in the first half with a James Wilson effort, were made to defend their advantage as Salts virtually dominated the rest of the game.
After striking the bar on numerous occasions and missing a penalty, Salts finally got the equaliser when Jonny Cunnington netted with the last kick of the game.
Tyersal were edged out of the points at promoted Lepton Highlanders. Goals from Andy Bailey and Glynn Beale were not sufficient as strikes from John Flynn, Gary Bradley and Liam Coughlin gave the new boys a 3-2 success.
Last season's champions Ovenden West Riding earned a second 1-0 victory when John Booth netted the only goal against Marsden.
Wakefield side Hall Green United top the table on goal difference after beating Littletown 4-1.
Wibsey kicked off their season at Lower Hopton with, whom they were relegated together last season into Division One, and the Mirfield side took the points with a 5-3 victory.
Nick Clarke and Craig Smith both netted twice to add to Chris Jackson's strike, while Mick Burke, Jamie Brennan and Tom O’Hara were on target for Wibsey.
Ventus Yeadon Celtic followed up their midweek victory against Westbrook YMCA with a 2-0 home victory over Campion Reserves, with Kyle Shah and Terry Hargreaves scoring for the hosts.
Hunsworth and Wakefield City netted seven goals between them at East Bierley, with Wakefield edging the game 4-3.
Stuart McCallum, with a pair, and Steve Oakes netted for Hunsworth, while Rob Bloomfield (2), Andy McManus and Rob Graham were on target for the visitors.
A Gary Ash hat-trick and a Jordan Coduri brace gave Halifax Irish a 5-2 win at Tingley Athletic, while newly-promoted Huddersfield YMCA also hit five in their 5-1 home win over Storthes Hall Reserves.
