Divisions merge in West Riding County Amateur League

The West Riding County Amateur League will kick off the 2012-3013 season on Wednesday August, 22, with games in the Premier Division and Division One.

Regular Saturday fixtures start the following weekend.

Division Two, which this season has been amalgamated with Division Three and consists mainly of reserve teams, will start on Saturday, September 1.

The league have lost two teams from last season.

Premier Division side Brighouse Town have decided that their reserve side will play in the Lancashire League, along with the reserve sides from other clubs in the Northern Counties East League. and Rawdon Old Boys have also withdrawn from Division Two and have applied to play in the Harrogate League.

With Brighouse Town pulling out of the league, Overthorpe SC, who finished in third place in Division One last season, have been elected to take their place, alongside the other promoted sides, Lepton Highlanders and Salts.
