SALTS maintained top spot in the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division with a 2-0 home victory over Huddersfield-based Britannia Sports.

The hosts' skipper Joe Pleasance scored both goals in the second half – and further good news emerged when it was discovered that previously unbeaten Golcar United had slipped to a 3-0 home defeat to Route One Rovers.

Khurram Shazad, Hassan Ali and Shoaib Iqbal netted for Rovers, who moved up to second, two points ahead of their hosts, while Salts are now five points clear at the summit.

Wibsey moved level on 23 points with visitors Campion after beating them 5-2.

Lee Smith and Jack Holland both scored twice to add to a goal from match-day signing Aaron Magee, while Tariq Hussain and Jahro Parchment were on target in reply.

Thornton United edged out visitors DRAM Community 5-4.

Brendan Maltby's brace was added to by Ryan Canning, Marcus Harper and an own goal for United, while Kalvyn White, Marcus Paul, Anthony Smith and Kaylem Billy responded.

Only two games were possible in Division One.

Leaders Ovenden West Riding outclassed rock-bottom hosts Bradford FC, netting 16 times without reply.

Damian Randall (5) and John Booth (4) led the way, assisted by braces from Mat Jones and Hayden Kerris and singles by Andy Butterworth, Graeme Sides and an own goal.

TVR United and Hunsworth were much more evenly matched, with TVR squeezing home 5-4.

Faisal Shabir (2), Danny Hussain, Asif Iqbal and Jinaid Taj netted for TVR, while Alex Gaunt, Ryan Templeton, Cameron Whalley and substitute Jack Cooper scored for Hunsworth.
