SALTS moved into pole position in the West Riding County Amateur Football League after midweek goals from Richard Magson and Harry Naylor gave them a 2-1 home victory over Route One Rovers.

The pace-setters took full advantage of Golcar United not playing, while Littletown's game at Lower Hopton on Wednesday evening was abandoned in the second half due to a serious head injury to their goalkeeper.

Today there is a mixed fixture list, with round one of the Premier Division Cup as well as league fixtures.

Cup holders Littletown start their defence with a trip to Lepton Highlanders, while Steeton – who were beaten finalists – host Wakefield City.

Thornton United will be looking to progress when they meet Wibsey at Thornton Rec.

Salts aim to take advantage of their league rivals playing in the cup and build on their lead as they entertain DRAM Community, while Campion visit Lower Hopton in one of only two league games.
