FATHER and son Carl and Kyle Trennery were both on the scoresheet as Campion started their West Riding County Amateur League season with a 6-0 midweek home Premier Division success against Thornton United.

New signing Kyle scored twice, while his dad found the net once.

Campion travel to Britannia Sports tomorrow, while United host Wibsey – who, after beating last season's champions Lower Hopton 2-1 last Saturday, came down to earth with a 4-1 setback at Salts in midweek.

After two games, only three clubs – Littletown, Steeton and Golcar United, who were all involved in last season's race for the top-flight title – have 100 per cent records.

Littletown, with victories over both Honley and Lepton Highlanders, visit DRAM Community this weekend.

Steeton, at home for the third successive game following wins against DRAM Community and newly-promoted Route One Rovers, face Lepton Highlanders.

Golcar, after successes at Salts and at home to Honley, are at Wakefield City.

Hunsworth begin their Division One season at Golcar United Reserves – the first of two successive games away from their East Bierley ground, which is undergoing renovation.

MIDWEEK RESULTS – Premier Division: Campion 6 Thornton Utd 0, Golcar Utd 1 Honley 0, Lepton Highlanders 0 Littletown 6, Salts 4 Wibsey 1, Steeton 2 Route One Rovs 1.
