LITTLETOWN'S bid to lift the Premier Division title suffered a setback as they lost 3-1 at Salts in the Taylor's Timber West Riding County Amateur League.

Deroy White, Ryan Whitfield and Jonny Cunnington were on target for mid-table Salts as they eclipsed George Porter's reply for the Heckmondwike side.

Luckily for second-placed Littletown their defeat was cushioned by Steeton, who took a point off leaders Golcar United.

An injury-time goal from Michael Rhodes earned Steeton a 1-1 draw after Huddersfield hosts Golcar had led for most of the game thanks to a Callum Meade strike.

Honley introduced new signing Callum McLachlan for their game against defending champions Huddersfield YMCA and he obliged with a debut hat-trick that sealed a 4-2 win.

Oliver Willets supplied Honley's other goal, while Connor Tuff and Graham Wilson were on target for third-placed YMCA.

DRAM Community and Overthorpe SC, who occupy the bottom two places, went head to head and it was the latter side who picked up a 3-2 away win to pull three points clear of their opponents.

Jack Allerton's double was backed up by a Reece Patterson strike for the visitors, with Doran Jordan and Arron Noel responding.

Route One Rovers enhanced their Division One promotion credentials with a 3-0 victory at Steeton Reserves courtesy of Shamraz Hussain, Waheed Khan and Haz Naveed.

Thornton United had Brendan Maltby, Ryan Stubbs, Lee Forsythe and Elliott Holmes on the mark in their 4-0 win at Wibsey.

West Horton also netted four times as they enjoyed a 4-2 home success against Ventus-Yeadon Celtic.

Tyersal, without a league victory since November when they beat fellow strugglers Westbrook YMCA 4-0, completed the double with a 3-2 win thanks to goals by Mohammed Sakhara, Liam Henderson and Nick Leach.

Bottom side Hunsworth, like Tyersal, have struggled all season and could only muster a Richard Nomally goal for their efforts as they lost 3-1 at home to Wakefield City.

TVR United moved to within a point of lifting the Division Two title with a 6-3 victory at Littletown Reserves.

Two goals each by Acran Abbas and Asif Iqbal, to add to those from Danayal Hussain and Faisal Shabir, did the damage.

Winless Tyersal Reserves slumped to a 10-0 home defeat against Tingley Athletic as Danny McMahon led the way with six of the goals.
