CAMPION and Field are through to the semi-finals of the Bradford & District FA Saturday Senior Cup.

Holders Campion took an early lead at home to Thornton United through Chris Helliwell but that was cancelled out by James Madden before half-time.

Jamie Bairstow was then dismissed for Thornton and Josh Ludford scored to give Campion a 2-1 victory.

Field had Daryl Leach, Andy Benjamin and Toby Harris on target and added an own goal in a 4-0 victory as they snuffed out a spirited performance from Spen Valley League strugglers Athletico.

The latter side were outplayed in the opening half hour and trailed 2-0 to a bullet header from Leach and a 25-yard right-foot shot by Benjamin.

An own goal from a clearance that went in off the goalkeeper made it 3-0 before Harris completed the scoring.

Field assistant manager Barry Dunne said: "Athletico never stopped trying, worked really hard and put us under a bit of pressure towards the end of the first half."

Steeton let slip the opportunity to reach the last four of the Keighley & District FA Challenge Cup as they surrendered a two-goal advantage early in the first half to bow out 3-2 to visitors Oxenhope Recreation.

Lee Reilly and Oliver Hunter netted for Steeton before Danny Moriarty reduced the arrears on the stroke of half-time. Lewis Hopkinson then levelled early in the second period before Michael Garnett slotted home a late Oxenhope winner.

Steeton Reserves were taken to extra time in the Keighley & District FA Supplementary Cup by hosts Cross Hills Reserves before running our 5-2 victors, with Will Knight netting a treble to add to strikes from Ben Clarkson and Sam Rooke.

A hat-trick by Antony Hannan for Ventus-Yeadon Celtic was insufficient as they were beaten 7-4 in extra time by Horsforth St Margaret's A in the Wharfedale & District FA Challenge Cup.

Route One Rovers were also eliminated, losing 4-0 at home to Rawdon Old Boys.

In the Huddersfield & District FA Cup, DRAM Community won 5-4 on penalties at Golcar United after drawing 1-1 at the end of extra time.

In domestic Taylor's Timber West Riding County Amateur League action, Littletown completed a Premier Division treble over defending champions Huddersfield YMCA.

Having beaten them twice in Huddersfield in October – 2-0 in the League and 3-1 in the Premier Division Cup – Littletown won the reverse league fixture 2-1.

Second-half goals from Adam Jordan and George Porter secured the points after James Sykes had scored an own goal in the first half.

Lower Hopton extended their unbeaten run with a 3-2 home win over Honley FC. Matt Bugg (2) and Harvey Lockwood were on target for Hopton, who led 2-0 at the interval, with Oliver Willets and Dylan Brett replying in the second half for Honley.

Wakefield City lost their Division One unbeaten tag at Wibsey, who ran out 4-1 victors with goals from Daniel O'Donnell (2), Philip Brogan (penalty) and Chris Mortimer.

Bottom side Hunsworth put up a game performance at home to second-placed Holmfirth Town but were punished for not converting their chances as Jack Sewell and Ashley Thompson, with a goal in each half, gave the visitors a 2-0 win.

Golcar United's reserve side climbed to third after putting seven past Westbrook YMCA without reply, Kiero Lawrence (4), Dominik Moorhouse and Pierce Walker being among the goals.

The league now takes a break over Christmas and New Year, resuming on Saturday, January 7 with a mixture of West Riding County FA Challenge Cup, West Riding County FA Challenge Trophy and league fixtures.
