SEVEN teams have now joined previous victors Campion in the quarter-finals of the Bradford & District FA Saturday Senior Cup.

Leading the way were West Yorkshire League Premier Division outfit Field, who romped to a 14-0 second-round victory over Taylor's Timber West Riding County Amateur League side Bradford FC.

Lewis Forsythe netted four times to add to braces from Curtis McMahon, Daryl Leach and Josh Milner, plus singles by Tom Ponter, Danny Nolan, Andy Benjamin and John Penn.

Salts pitched in with seven goals at Yorkshire Amateur League side Fairbank, with Matt Hall bagging a treble that was supplemented by Mat Bailey, Jamie Birchall, Jonny Cunnington and Ryan Whitfield, while the losers replied once.

Spen Valley League side Athletico completed a cup double over Tyersal, having beaten their reserve side 5-2 in the first round.

This time it was 7-2, with a Mohammed Raaj hat-trick being complemented by Brendan Dexter, Zeeshan Haider, Shamraz Hussain and Mohammed Ikram, while Tyersal had Gage Faulkner and Tyrone Price on target.

Both Thornton United and their reserve team triumphed, with the senior side beating St Bede's Old Boys 3-1 courtesy of an Emmott Parr-Gallagher double and Ryan Stubbs, with Nathan Hurtault scoring a consolation for the Old Boys.

United's second string inflicted a first defeat in all competitions on Salts Reserves after a 3-2 success, while West Horton had to come from 2-0 behind at half-time to edge out County Amateur rivals TVR United 3-2.

Manningham All Stars and Salts (Craven League) were locked together at 2-2 after normal time before a penalty shoot-out went 4-1 in favour of Salts.

League action saw Steeton climb to fourth in the Premier Division after winning 2-0 and also completing the double over visitors Lepton Highlanders.

Morley-based newcomers Churwell Lions, who had taken only one point from their opening eight Division One games, have settled in and have now taken nine points from their last three.

Their latest success was by 3-2 at Wibsey, with Jordan Brerden, Luke Ambler and Jamie Lloyd scoring for the Lions as Daniel O'Donnell netted both Wibsey replies from second-half penalties.

Holmfirth Town completed a league double over hosts Ventus-Yeadon Celtic, with goals from Ashley Thompson (2), Adam Stephenson, Jack Sewell and Sean Hazelden moving Town into second place behind Britannia Sports.
