STEETON failed in their bid to lift the Taylor's Timber Premier Division Cup for the first time when they lost 2-1 in extra-time to West Riding County Amateur League top-flight champions Huddersfield YMCA.
Sam Rooke scored with ten minutes remaining of the final at Lower Hopton, which looked to have edged the tie in Steeton's favour.
But they then conceded a late penalty which Daniel Stocker duly dispatched for YMCA to send the game into extra-time.
Then with the outcome looking set to be decided by penalties, Brighton Mugadza netted from close range to clinch the victory and end Steeton's hopes of silverware.
Earlier in the week, Salts Reserves had picked up the Division Two Cup thanks to a 2-1 victory over Littletown.
Huddersfield side Newsome FC completed their first season in the competition by completing a league and cup double with a 3-1 win over Holmfirth Town.
