AS THE Taylor's Timber West Riding County Amateur League enters the penultimate month of the season, most teams still have around a quarter of their games to complete.

The campaign has been disrupted by flooded or waterlogged grounds, with only a handful of games being played each week since the middle of December until late January.

Steeton, who beat Premier Division leaders Huddersfield YMCA on Easter Monday, have four of their last five league games away from home – starting tomorrow at strugglers neighbours Tyersal.

Campion, whose ground and facilities were this week passed suitable for Step Six of the FA National League System (Northern Counties East League), start their eight-game run-in – seven in the league, plus the Bradford & District FA Saturday Senior Cup final – at home to Lower Hopton.

Rock-bottom Hunsworth, who are still without a win in all competitions, bring their season to completion with a trip to mid-table Salts.

With leaders YMCA playing in the Huddersfield & District FA Challenge Cup, both second- and third-placed Lepton Highlanders and Ovenden West Riding – who meet at Ovenden's Natty Lane ground – will be eager for the three points to keep up the pressure at the top of the table.

Ventus-Yeadon Celtic, who held Division One leaders Overthorpe SC to a 1-1 draw last weekend, now travel to Dewsbury for the return fixture.

Wibsey will be seeking to move out of the bottom two places they have been entrenched in for most of the season when they visit Westbrook YMCA, who are a point beneath them.

Campion Reserves, denied a place in the district cup final when their senior side beat them in a penalty shoot-out, have the opportunity to reach the final of the Division One Cup when they travel to Huddersfield to play Newsome.
