TYERSAL'S woeful season in the Taylor's Timber West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division continued with another thrashing.

The Bradford side were crushed 10-1 by Lepton Highlanders, with only a late consolation from Curtis Hammond saving his side from another goalless outing.

The hosts' goals were shared among seven players, Josh Cooke leading the way with a treble to add to two from Jonathon Bullivant and others by Mark Godley, Gary Bradley, Joe Dunstan, Ben Robinson and Chris Gillespie.

Campion's bid to secure a top-two finish was given a jolt when visitors Golcar United came from a goal behind to win 2-1.

Andy Bailey gave Campion an early advantage, only for Mike Kitson to equalise before half-time.

Golcar had to defend in depth for most of the second period before snatching a winner by Max Leonard inside the last ten minutes.

Steeton striker Lee Reilly scored to give his side a first-half advantage at home to Halifax Irish but honours finished even with a 1-1 draw as Ely Hey levelled.

Leaders Huddersfield YMCA took the lead with a Danny Stocker strike at home to Lower Hopton, only for Lincoln Adams to level with a penalty before the break.

With both sides striving for the winner, Kitson Gayle scored to give YMCA a 2-1 victory.

On Easter Monday, however, YMCA were handed only their second league defeat of the season, going down 3-2 at Steeton.

Kyle Fox gave the hosts an early advantage, which was cancelled out before half-time by Daniel Naidole.

Two second-half goals from Reilly then added to the pressure on the visitors, before Naidole netted his second reply in injury time.

After two consecutive draws against sides bidding for promotion from Division One, Ventus-Yeadon Celtic hosted leaders Overthorpe and again managed to deny their visitors victory with a 1-1 scoreline.

After a goalless first half, Celtic fell behind to a Lewis Ward strike, only to equalise shortly after through Terry Hargreaves.

Wibsey's bid for a third successive victory was derailed when they were edged out 5-4 at home to Campion Reserves.

Daniel O'Donnell (2), Philip Brogan and Vaughan Scott-Williamson were on target for Wibsey, while two Louis Etienne penalties – to add to strikes from Josh Ludford, Chris Helliwell and Luke Sharp – counted for the visitors.

Steeton Reserves came up against a strong Newsome side, who boosted their bid for promotion with a 6-0 victory.

Two other Huddersfield-based sides continued their promotion bids with victories, Holmfirth Town beating West Horton 3-2 and Honley taking the points off Westbrook YMCA with a 2-0 success.

The top two teams in Division Two – Thornton United and Golcar United Reserves – met at Golcar and, with two second-half strikes from John Selby, Thornton won 2-1 after Ryan John's first-half goal had edged the hosts ahead.
