THERE is a reduced programme in the Taylor's Timber West Riding County Amateur League this weekend as Huddersfield YMCA and Golcar United (Huddersfield) and Halifax Irish (Halifax) are involved in district cups.

Steeton and Salts, who had opposite outcomes in their midweek cup semi-finals, meet at the Playing Fields in Saltaire.

Salts, who were edged out of the Bradford & District FA FA Saturday Senior Cup when they lost 2-1 to Field, while Steeton booked a place in the final of the intern Timber Premier Division Cup by beating Campion by the same scoreline at Silsden on Wednesday.

Both Campion and Tyersal have to travel – Campion to relegated Hunsworth, and Tyersal to Littletown.

Promotion from Division One is wide open, with six teams in contention for the two places.

Ventus Yeadon Celtic, who finished runners-up last season, could have a big say in who is promoted, as they have to play four of the current top six in their final six games, starting with a trip to third-placed DRAM Community tomorrow.

On Monday, it is the second Bradford & District FA Saturday Senior Cup semi-finals) when Campion Reserves and Campion take each other on at Eccleshill United (7.30pm).

Midweek result – Taylor's Timber West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division Cup semi-final: Steeton 2 (Andrew Holden, Andy Briggs), Campion 1 (Jordan Missin), HT 0-0.
