A MIXTURE of West Riding County FA Challenge Cup and district cup competitions will take preference over league games tomorrow for Taylor's Timber West Riding County Amateur League clubs.

However, with the semi-finalists in the Bradford & District FA Saturday Challenge Cup already confirmed, it is back to league action for the Bradford area clubs.

Campion, who have only been beaten twice in the Premier Division this season, will be looking to put last weekend's defeat to Field in the West Riding County FA Challenge Cup behind them as they continue their quest for league silverware.

They will also be seeking to avenge their 3-2 reversal in late August when they take the short trip to Steeton.

Tyersal, who last collected any points from a home game in October, when they beat Hunsworth 6-0, host Salts at Arkwright Street, while Hunsworth without a league win so far this season, will be hoping to keep their visitors Ovenden West Riding, who have scored 20 goals in their last three games, to at least single figures.

Wibsey, who a few seasons ago were a leading top-flight club but are now struggling without a league win in Division One, host second-placed Honley at Bankfoot Cricket Club,

* John V Wilde, who joined the West Riding County Amateur League in 1992 and was league chairman from 1999-2015, has died.

A league life member, he was instrumental in guiding the league onto the National League System at Step 7 and to them achieving full Charter Standard Status.

His funeral will be at Fixby Crematorium, Huddersfield next Friday (February 26) at 10am, and all clubs are requested to hold a minute's silence in his memory before tomorrow's matches.
