AFTER the virtual washout of the last two weeks when only a handful of games were played, the West Riding County Amateur League are hoping that a re-scheduled fixture list, when local District FA and where possible postponed County FA Challenge Cup and Trophy games will be played, will ease the pressure on the clubs in the New Year.

Campion, who last kicked a ball in a competitive game was on the first Saturday in November when they beat Craven League side Cononley United FA 17-0 in Round Two of the West Riding County FA Challenge Cup, will be bidding for a semi-final place in the Bradford & District FA Saturday Senior Cup, when the take on Wibsey at Bankfoot Cricket Club (1.45pm).

Salts with all their three open ages sides still involved will stage a double header at their grounds in Saltaire. Their Reserves will host the cup holders Fields FC, while their Craven League side will take on Campion Reserves.

In the last quarter-final game, West Horton will entertain Salts at Myra Shay. Ventus Yeadon Celtic will make a third attempt to play their West Riding County FA Challenge Cup Round Three tie at home to Halifax League side Calder 76, at Dam Lane 1.30pm, with the victors entertaining Ilkley Town in the next round.

Only three games remain in the Taylors Timber Premier Division. Steeton without a league point since beating Hunsworth 4-1 in early October, will be hoping to end the year with a victory when Tyersal are their visitors.

Hunsworth travel to Lepton Highlander and Littletown are at Huddersfield YMCA. Thornton United could move into top spot in Division Two ahead of Golcar United Reserves if they win at Littletown Reserves.
