HUDDERSFIELD YMCA's perfect record in the Taylor's Timber West Riding County Amateur League is no more but visitors Campion had to do it the hard way in their Premier Division clash.

The Bradford side were 2-0 down to the leaders in the second half after strikes from Danny Stocker and Craig Burns has made it seem likely that YMCA would record a tenth straight victory.

But Campion then mounted a whirlwind comeback, with two goals from Jordan Missin and one each by Adam Jarrett and match-day re-signing Dempsey Smith in a 4-2 success that lifted them to second place.

That position was only possible because Lepton Highlanders lost for the first time on their own ground as Salts, with strikes from Kyle Berry, Mat Bailey and Jonny Cunnington, returned home with a 3-2 victory.

Halifax Irish, with goals by Mat Waller, Eli Hey and Leon Hurles Brook, beat Dudley Hill Rangers 3-0 to move up to third.

Tyersal hosted fellow strugglers Hunsworth and, with a second-half treble from Daniel Farrar to add to a Jamie Sugden pair and a Jake Stott penalty, won 6-0.

Steeton were nudged out of the points at Kirkburton when the hosts, with a Jordan Tindle goal in each half, won 2-1, with Lee Reilly getting the consolation.

Ovenden West Riding, with two goals from Scott Eastwood and one each by George Bamford and Martin Woodhouse, beat last season's runners-up Golcar United 4-0.

Mirfield-based Lower Hopton extended their winning run to five games – three in the league and two in external cups – with a 3-1 home win over Littletown.

Three of the four teams in the section from Huddersfield occupy the top three places in Division One.

DRAM Community enjoyed a 5-3 victory at Steeton Reserves to move into top spot ahead of newcomers Newsome, who lost their unbeaten league start to third-placed Honley 2-1. All of the goals came in the last ten minutes.

Campion Reserves, who have only lost one game, extended their winning run with a 4-1 home success over Ventus-Yeadon Celtic. Chris Helliwell (2), Usman Hussain and Josh Ludford were on target for Campion, with Kyle Shah netting in the second half for the visitors.

West Horton picked up their third successive victory with a 3-2 home success over last season's champions Wakefield City.

With Wibsey's ground at Westwood Park being unavailable, their home game with Overthorpe was switched around – but the move did little to help Wibsey as they lost 5-2, with Callum Armitage and Lewis Phillips being their marksmen.

All the home sides in Division Two were winners.

Newcomers Thornton United beat Bradford FC 6-1, Spen Valley League champions TVR United – beaten 7-4 at home earlier in the season by Golcar United Reserves – lost the return clash 7-0, while Littletown Reserves striker Adam Jordan scored all of their goals in the 5-1 home victory over Lower Hopton Reserves.

Salts Reserves were also winners, with Jamie Birchill and Ryan Gill scoring in their 2-1 triumph over Ovenden West Riding Reserves.
