BRADFORD Horton Sports have pulled off the shock result so far of the Bradford & District FA Saturday Senior Cup.

The Division One West Riding County Amateur League side defeated last season's beaten finalists Hunsworth 5-2 at home in the quarter-finals.

Dale Wright netted twice in the first half to give top-flight Hunsworth the advantage.

Lee Smith reduced the arrears before the break but it was a one-sided second half as Smith added three more goals to take his personal tally to four before Jordan Northin completed the rout.

Holders Field had the expected comfortable passage to the last four with a 9-0 victory at Campion Reserves, Joshua Milner (3), Johnny Cunningham (2), John Penn (2), Chris Wood and an own goal making up the tally.

However, Campion’s first team, who are a round behind, had Omar Habeeb (2), Jordan Missin and Danny Brown on target in their 4-0 success at Dudley Hill Rangers to set up a quarter-final meeting with Thackley next month.

Steeton had an easy passage in the Keighley & District FA Challenge Cup, beating Craven League side Keighley Sporting 9-1, with Lee Reilly netting five,Mark McGee two and Ben Sutcliffe and Joe Park one each, with Arron Abbas scoring Sporting’s consolation.

In the league, Salts extended their run of consecutive wins to four with a 4-1 home Premier Division victory over Halifax Irish, with Sam Waterhouse, Mat Bailey, Ryan Boguslawski and an own goal scoring for Salts while Kieron Baker netted the visitors' reply. Ventus Yeadon Celtic extended their unbeaten start in Division One to eight games with a 4-1 home success over Westbrook YMCA, Kyle Shaw (2), Adam Turner and Terry Hargreaves being Salts' marksmen, Faran Nyamumba scoring for YMCA.

Salts Reserves remain rooted at the foot of Division Two after losing 5-0 at Tyersal Reserves, for whom Sean Pogson bagged a hat-trick.
