SALTS returned to winning ways in the West Riding County Amateur League with a 4-0 home win over bottom-placed Kirkburton at Marley Stadium.

Striker Jonny Cunnington netted a hat-trick to add to Mat Bailey's goal as Salts bounced back from four Premier Division defeats.

Campion travelled to Huddersfield YMCA and inflicted a second successive 8-0 defeat on the home side.

Jordan Missin and Omar Habeeb both scored trebles, while Steve Hollingsworth added a double.

Tyersal were unable to stop leaders Golcar United from increasing their run to eight consecutive victories and stay second from bottom after losing 3-1.

Martin Glen scored Tyersal's consolation, with Rhys Wharam, Joshua Shields and Carl Sykes on target for Golcar.

Field Reserves held off Tyersal Reserves 3-0, while Idle and Palestino were level at 2-2 before Palestino won a penalty shootout 3-2.

Both St Bede's teams slipped up at the first hurdle, with their seniors losing 3-2 at Athletico and the reserves being beaten 5-0 at Whitburn.
