Challenge is on for West Riding County Amateur sides

Twelve of the West Riding County Amateur League’s teams compete in round two of the West Riding County FA Challenge Cup on Saturday.

Tyersal, who last won the cup in 1994, visit Division One side Westbrook YMCA at Lawnswood YMCA (1pm). Hunsworth, who eliminated Campion in the last round, host West Yorkshire League side Wyke Wanderers.

Wibsey also have home advantage against Craven League Grassington, while Albion Sports take the short trip to meet Fields Sports & Social.

The West Riding County FA Challenge Trophy also reaches the second round, with Campion reserves taking on Bingley Town at Marley in Keighley. Dudley Hill Rangers and Salts reserves, who both play in County Amateur League Division Two, will play at Salts as Rangers share their ground with Hunsworth.

Steeton reserves host Huddersfield League side Linthwaite Athletic, with Tyersal reserves at Heywood Irish Centre.

After losing three cup ties in four weeks, Campion must concentrate on picking up Premier Division points. Promoted Lepton Highlanders are their visitors on Saturday, while Salts visit lowly Overthorpe SC.
