Leaders Bradford Arms dropped their first points of the season as they shared six goals with Lidget Green in the Telegraph & Argus League.

With strong winds making life difficult, Fazil Ahmed netted twice in the opening 25 minutes as Arms gained an early advantage.

But Green hit back as goals by Amraiz Javed from 25 yards and Shahid Saddiq levelled matters at half-time.

Manny Hussain then edged the hosts in front for the first time but Arms equalised ten minutes from the end to earn a point.

It means Arms remain in pole position but Thornbury Youth are also unbeaten and they boosted their goal difference with a 6-1 romp at home to West Bowling United.

A penalty gave the visitors a surprise lead but this was quickly wiped out by man of the match Mohammed Ahmed from 20 yards.

Further goals then followed in a one-way second half, despite Youth playing into the gale, from Toseef Arshad, Sajad Ali, Kaber Ahmed, Abdul Quayam and Timir Kham.

Abundant Life secured their first victory of the season, with Dave Niblock in outstanding form during a 2-0 success at Sporting Athletic. Niblock and Naz Khan supplied the goals.

A brilliant solo effort by TVR United’s Mohammed Ishmaeel inside two minutes proved to no avail as visitors Bradford All Stars hit back to win 2-1 through goals by skipper Has Naveed from 30 yards and Mohammed Junnayd ten minutes from the end.
