Leaders Fairbank saw the last unbeaten Telegraph & Argus League record bite the dust as they slipped up 5-2 at home to West Bowling.

There was little sign of danger as the hosts moved two goals up in the first 20 minutes through Muhammed Ishmael and Nasser Husein.

League Cup holders Bowling pulled one back through Kazaq Ali and Fairbank then had a man sent off before the interval.

This gave the visitors more room and they took advantage with goals from Ali, Shezard Ashraf, Qamar Sadiq and Ikraa Ashfaq.

Second-placed Bradford Arms failed to take advantage of Fairbank’s slip as they lost 2-1 at home to Lidget Green, who are third.

Green, who have games in hand on both their title rivals, moved two goals ahead through Afiab Ahmed and Amrial Zaved.

Danny Harrison pulled one back late on but although Arms pressed hard they could not force an equaliser.

Abundant Life Church were just 30 seconds from their third victory of the season when Sporting Athletic cancelled out Danny Gregg’s goal to make it 1-1 at the end.

The week’s remaining game saw All Nations and East Bowling share four goals.
