The only 100 per cent record in the Telegraph & Argus League was ended when Thornbury YCC were beaten by Fairbank in a top-of-the-table clash at Bingley Road.
An all-round performance gave the hosts a 3-1 victory and moved them into pole position in the Premier Division.
The home team took the lead after 20 minutes when the visitors' keeper fumbled a speculative shot into his own net, and Fairbank doubled their advantage ten minutes later when Nasser Hussain finished off a good move by heading home from inside the six-yard area.
The hosts kept their two-goal cushion up to the interval and maintained the pressure on the leaders in the second half with some very good aproach work but they just lacked the killer instinct in front of goal.
With ten minutes left, they suffered a blow when the visitors hit back with a well-taken goal.
An outstanding display by man of the match Nasser Hussain recieved a reward with five minutes to play when he blasted home a 35-yard free-kick to clinch the points for the hosts and dent the visitors' record, putting Fairbank top of the pile.
Liam Charles was on the mark for Bradford Arms in the first half when they visited Lidget Green, and just before the interval they doubled their lead with a strike from Atik Hussain.
The hosts came more into the match in the second half and had many chances to score but they could not find the net and paid the price in the closing stages of the match when Jamie Cowans gave the visitors the three points with a well- taken goal.
East Bowling and All Nations had a five goal end-to-end affair, strikes from Carl Curran and Pete Lawrence giving them the lead but the visitors struck with two strikes of their own but a lethal finish from Josh Ludford in the last minute secured the points for the hosts.
In an eight-goal mid-table thriller at Apperley Bridge between Sporting Athletic and Abundant Life, the first half belonged to the hosts who went into the interval winning by the odd goal in five.
But a terrific display of football in the second half gave the visitors the edge and their first victory of the season.
A brace each from Mark Miller and Aaron Scott and a strike by David Niblock saw the church team wrap up the points and remain unbeaten so far this season.
