New Inn Celtic were crowned Newlands Invitation Village Cup champions after beating Dudley Hill Rangers in a penalty shoot-out.

Rangers took the lead late in the second half but New Inn made the final score 1-1 with a deflected shot and then clinched the spot-kick decider 9-8 to lift the Shelley Carroll Trophy.

The semi-finals had seen a Michael Kelsey hat-trick and Dave Rainton strike earn New Inn a 4-2 win against Peel Park Rangers, while Dudley Hill beat Victoria Rangers 3-0 with goals from Roman Zurik (2) and Sam Scott.
