Usman Amir scored a hat-trick as Fairbank United edged out Thornhill United Seniors 4-3 in one of only two Spen Valley League games to beat the continuing freezing weather.
Thornhill were hanging on for a point that would have lifted them off the foot of the Premier Division table, only for the visitors to snatch a late winner.
Amir’s treble proved decisive, while he also set up Mohard Shoair for fifth-placed Fairbank’s fourth goal.
Thornhill, who missed a penalty with the score at 3-2, had Javeed Patel, Aron Kennedy and Triston Kennedy on target.
Bradford All Stars climbed to fifth in the Division One table with a 5-2 victory at Savile United, who would have gone seventh with a win.
Faisal Adam and Suhail Ibrahim scored for the hosts but they were outweighed by Hamran Zahid (2), Jordan Northin, Kasin Shah and Waqas Ali.
