Savile get better of Norfolk

Just one Spen Valley League match survived the continuing bad weather at the weekend.

The Division One fixture finished 3-1 in favour of hosts Savile United against Norfolk, a result that saw the winners close to within two points of their mid-table opponents.

Zubair Patel netted in the first half for Savile and although Mamaniat Ebrahim made the interval score 1-1, a strong second half by the home side secured the points.
