BRADFORD City Women are out to bounce back in the FA Women's Premier League tomorrow after enjoying a break in their fixtures.

The Bantams participated in the Bradford City 5K Run last weekend to raise funds for the club – a welcome day out after a tough League Cup result at Derby County, where they lost 5-2 after extra time.

But midfielder Ellie Olds believes City will have benefited from the break as they welcome Northern Division rivals Fylde tomorrow.

Olds said: "I think the week off will have done us good. The run was fun and it was good to go out as a whole club.

"We've now had a good week of training after the disappointing defeat to Derby and we've been able to regroup and focus for this match."

Bradford led 2-0 in the midlands with 15 minutes to play thanks to Olds' third goal in three games and another from Ellie White.

Yet the Rams fought back in the final minutes to take the game to extra time, where they made their momentum count by adding three more goals.

"We definitely learned that we need to stay switched on for the whole 90 minutes and not sit back once we've scored," said Olds.

"Once we've got one, we need to build on that and not let our heads drop if we do concede."

City showed that spirit in their last outing against Fylde, when they twice came from behind to win the game.

Olds said: "We've had a frustrating start to the season, having drawn the majority of our games, but that win showed that we have got the ability to beat the stronger teams."

City will hope to put on a similarly impressive display for all three points tomorrow, with a 2pm kick-off at Eccleshill United FC.
