FARSLEY Celtic Juniors took full advantage of opponents Ealandians having two players sent off to make progress in the Terry Marflitt Trophy as Yorkshire Amateur League action featured a mix of domestic action.

Ealandians were reduced to nine men early in the tie and although they took the lead, they trailed 3-1 at the interval and eventually lost 5-2 to last season's beaten finalists.

Danny Lyons and Said Osman both scored twice, with Louis Surtees adding a first-half penalty.

Ealandians Reserves also bowed out of the competition for teams in the Premier, Championship and Division One as they lost 5-1 to top-flight leaders Drighlington.

Ryan Rhodes (2), Shane Sowden, Harvey Booth and Sam Thorpe scored for a Drighlington side who were down to ten men for much of the second half, with David Kerr netting the consolation goal.

Collegians' early efforts earned a 1-0 lead through the prolific Louis Wrafter but they eventually lost 4-1 at home to Grangefield, with Brandon Baldwin and Rhys O'Hare among the scorers.

St Bede's were 3-2 winners at home to Collingham Juniors Old Boys, with all the goals coming in the second half.

Ian Horrocks scored twice, including a penalty, and Tahweed Ahmed's goal gave Saints a three-goal advantage before Richard Metcalfe and Steve Trueman hit back.

Two fantastic goals from the boot of Ryan Miller earned St Nicholas a 2-0 win over Gildersome Spurs.

Stanley United eventually swamped Calverley United 6-2 after falling behind, with Josh Whiteley bagging a hat-trick.

The Hancock Cup, for teams in Divisions Two and Three, included a 3-1 win for Farnley Sports at North Leeds. Adam Butler, Lewis Longthorn and an own goal did the damage.

There was a fantastic match in the Hodgson Cup, for teams in Divisions Four and Five, as Morley Amateur overcame Prospect 5-4 after extra time – the teams having drawn 5-5 in the league the previous week.

The tie, which was 4-4 after normal time, was finally settled when Matt Darnbrough's lofted through-ball found Tom Snowden and he netted the decider with his second goal of the game.

League action saw Garforth Rangers and Farsley Celtic Juniors Res draw 4-4 in Division One. Kieran and Liam Dent (one penalty) shared the Garforth goals, with Danny Kemp bagging two in reply.

Third-placed Idle returned to winning ways with a 4-1 success at Sky Blue, with Adam Medley's creative powers evident and Aaron Irving marking a man of the match display with a goal.

Second-placed Fairbank stormed to a 5-0 win against promoted Huddersfield Amateur in Division Two as Naveed Khan, captain Billal Saleem (penalty), substitute Faris Hussain, Zeeshan Khan and Akeel Khan provided the goals.

It finished 3-3 between Morley Town Reserves and Tyersal in Division Three as both sides missed a penalty. Dalton Pearson thought he had won it for Morley with a goal in the 89th minute but Dan Shaw equalised with an injury-time header from a corner.

Drighlington Reserves put Shire Academy's third team to the sword in Division Four as they won 9-1, with Declan Wilkinson (4) and Matt Roller (3) leading the way.

Gildersome Spurs Reserves were 6-1 winners at home to Thornesians Reserves, with Lucas Scott missing the chance of a hat-trick when failing from a penalty.
