THE West Riding County FA Cup dominates the district's women's programme tomorrow.

FA Women's Premier League Northern Division side Guiseley Vixens will be hopeful of building on last week's draw at Bradford City to secure a victory in their first-round tie at Brighouse Athletic.

The hosts are in the Premier Division of the West Riding League, four divisions below the Vixens – the equivalent of Manchester United taking on Guiseley AFC in the FA Cup –and a win looks likely.

Next up for the victors would be a second-round tie at Harrogate Town or Ossett Town.

Bradford Park Avenue have experienced problems with injuries and unavailability this year but this has been offset to some extent by recruitment.

This weekend's all County League clash at Lower Hopton should favour the Premier Division team against their promotion-chasing Division Two hosts.

A 3-0 defeat at home to Yorkshire Amateurs in Avenue's last game was not the best preparation for this tie but a home game in round two against Ripon City or Leeds United should be a good incentive.

Farsley Celtic suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat at home to Hartlepool in the Women's FA Cup last week but the North East Regional League Premier Division side should prove too strong for Yorkshire Amateurs.

After trailing 3-0 at the break, Farsley did show some second-half fight and pulled a goal back through Chelsea Schofield but they could not save the tie.

While the Celts are favourites for tomorrow's clash, Yorkshire Amateurs are in good form and, currently top of their table, will provide a stern test.

Among the other ties, Farsley Celtic Reserves go to Harrogate Railway and Tyersal are at home to Leeds-based Amaranth.

Tyersal's incentive could not be greater for they will be at home to the winners of the tie between Brighouse and Bradford. A Tyersal v City tie would be a special occasion for the seven ex-Bantams players in the Tyersal camp.

There are limited league programmes, although Guiseley's second string are at home to Middlesbrough in the FA Premier Division North reserve section.

The Vixens should be in great spirits after collecting their first win of the season at Bradford City last week.

Demi Wisher gave Guiseley the perfect start with a first-minute goal, before Harriet Jakeman and Sophie Hawkins added two more to secure a 3-1 win. Lucy Preston netted the City reply.

Also in action in this division are the Brighouse Town Development side, who entertain Hull City still looking for their first point after a 6-3 defeat at home to Bolton in their last game. On target for Town were Maria Thornton, Lara Abbott and Danielle Brown.
